 The phone lines to the Police Department are working now. Please dial their numbers as usual. However, phones for other City offices are still down at this time. Please use email for communication. Again, we will keep you updated.

 If you need the City Police Department, please call Chenango County Dispatch at 334-2000 and they will dispatch a City Police Officer to you. This is temporary and due to telephone line issues. We will keep you updated. The phone issues also affect all City of Norwich Offices. Please note that emails are still functioning.

Spring Clean-up

 Spring pick-up of yard debris has begun and will continue through June 4th. Please remember to follow the guidelines which you can find on the City Facebook page. Although black bags are being accepted, please ensure there is NO garbage in the bag.

The below Public Hearing has been rescheduled due to the inclement weather tonight. It is rescheduled for Tuesday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m. This will be an in-person meeting and will be Live Streamed on Facebook - 

The Public Hearing to hear comment in regards to the Community Advisory Board's report on Police Reform has been changed to and IN-PERSON meeting held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at One Court Plaza, Norwich. All Covid social distancing rules will apply. You are encouraged to watch the meeting on the City's Facebook page. If you wish to speak, please realize that depending on the number of people, you may be asked to wait to enter the room as only a certain number of people are allowed in the room at one time due to Covid restrictions.

Winter Parking Ban in Effect

 This is a reminder that the winter parking ban is in effect. There have been changes to the Ordinance since last year as follows:

A.  No Parking on any City street from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. from December 1 to April 1.

B.  No Parking on any City street from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. from April 2 to November 30 when 2               inches or more of snow or any ice accumulation is predicted by the Binghamton National Weather              Service.
